Salvamont mountain rescue from Romania

Recognised as a public utility in Romania, this association brings together all the mountain rescuers in the country. It is in charge of the management of mountain rescues and rescues in the mountains. It benefits from a large network deployed throughout the Romanian Carpathians with numerous chalets and rescue refuges set up at the foot of or inside the mountain ranges, to be able to intervene quickly in the event of incidents. The Salvamont can provide you with information on the state of the paths and markings, and on the weather forecast for the mountain range…

The name Salvamont is often associated with the word play 0salvamont (with a zero) which can be translated as “help”.
